Grandma has observed that remnants of former Topical Storm Lee or one of his cousins has been raining buckets in the Northeast for days. Constant flooding caused by alternating light and heavy rainfall is washing out bridges, uprooting trees, stalling vehicles, damaging homes and property and even more unfortunate, taking lives. Rain, rain, go away – to Texas where wildfires are raging. Exhausted firefighters can use your help in the Lone Star State. Things are so bad there, it’s no wonder Smokey the Bear packed up and moved to Alaska. Grandma’s tip of the day for Texans — Stop, drop and roll does not apply when the flames are chasing you, only if they catch-up. Otherwise, run like a pit bull is eyeing you for lunch. And good luck to all.
