Hey my name is Matthew Hatley. I am 16 and I always loved the weather ever since I was a baby. I used to stand at the door and watch the lightning during thunderstorms. I was a little chap when I used to do that. I am a meterologist for mainly the southeast but occasinally I do forecasts for the whole country. I do my best to give information about the weather to people who ask me what the weather will be like for the day, or the week. My favorite time of the year is winter. The system is to moisture starved. Very low impact event.

Hey Matthew ..i live in Charlotte NC …and I was wondering since this storm will not have a very big affect on Charlotte do you think February will be colder and we could get a snow storm maybe 2-4 ” or 4-8″ i mean do you think February will be cold in Charlotte with maybe a snow storm thanks?? !

It looks to me that winter is pretty much done after this clipper tomorrow. All it brought was the cold and no big storms. Again Eric is wrong about the prediction that it would be very snowy around late jan-feb. big warm up is coming so it’s pretty much done. Now Eric doesn’t have anything to say now.

I don’t think winter is over and not with big storms I think we will have big snowstorms in February and maybe in march come on you all spring doesn’t start until late march still have plenty of time

Wasi where do you get your information. My weather for NC by AOL which I am no weather person only shows 2 days warmer and back down in the 40′s for highs later in the week. I am no where near ready for spring so I hope you are wrong. We usually have winter weather in Feb here except last year of course. Can you give me the link to where you found this.

I am just giving my opinion because I checked accuweather in the long range and it shows mild temps for the most part of february especially in northern virginia where I live. We will see what happens. I hope you’re right.

Wasi, accuweather is usually wrong with those forecasts
