I forgot to post the link to our tropical weather center. It looks pretty boring right now, but we will add more features in the future. Click here to go to our tropical weather Center.
Now as we here at weatheradvance.com have been saying for over a week now, that a weak tropical depression or storm would develop and effect Florida Some time this week. This is what I posted here on Weatheradvance.com as early as May 30th talking about where i Would expect possible landfall for this storm. (LEFT) Now I went too far west with this cone, but you get the idea.
Anyway this storm may strengthen just a tad more, but then will be picked up by a trough of low pressure and race off to the North and East. Florida, Georiga, North and South Carolina, Virginia, DC, Maryland, Delaware, Eastern Pennselvania, New Jersey, New York, Boston, And Maine all will be effected by heavy rain and strong winds. Bellow are my two outlook maps for this storm.
So Rainfall wise you can see that I expect The Heaviest Rain To Be in Florida and up in new england where up to 3″+ of rain may fall. Usually you would see widespread 3″+ for such a storm but since this will be a really quick mover that will not be the case. How quick will it be, Well tomorrow anyone from Florida to North Carolina will be receiving the heviest of the rain and wind, by Thursday Nigh It will Just Be moving into D.C/Baltimore area, The heaviest rains for DC/Baltimore/Phily will be Around Late Thursday Night through the day on Friday, and by Saturday this thing is cranking off the coast of new england. The strongest part of the storm wind wise will remain off shore for the most part, but coastal regions could see winds up to 35-40 mph while interior areas towards I-95 and about 50 miles west of it should see winds gust between 20-30mph.
