Solor panel that powers 22000 homes

There have not been any post in the green category for some time.

So I thought that I would write one today when I came across an interesting article at CNET about a gigantic solar panel (pictured here) in Japan

It has 290,000 solar panels, covers 314 acres and it produces 70 mega (million) watts and is being used to power more than 20,000 home.

Apparently this was developed to replace the nuclear power plant as a power source after meltdowns in 2011.
