Weather Advance Issued Winter Weather Watches For Interior Northeast

Due to The upcoming storm in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic for Tuesday-Thursday Am Weather Advance Storm Prediction Center Has issued a Winter Weather Watch for The Following counties for the possibility of 3-6″ of snow. It also includes areas that may see at least a 1/4″ of Ice or as little as an inch of snow. As all these areas may see traffic problems or school delays or closings.

Currently there is still a lot of uncertainty with the track as well as precipitation type. But for right now we are going with what we have seen most on the computer models over the last several days. The Watches are as follows:

Pennsylvania Counties Include - Bradford, Susquehanna, Wyoming, Sullivan, Montour, North Umberland, Snyden, Union, Mifflin, Juniata, Huntingdon, Bedford, Somerset, Cambria, Blair, Centre, Clinton, Lycoming, Tidga, Potter, Cameron, Clearfeild, India, Westmoreland, Fayette, Greene, Washington, Allegheny, Armstrong, Jefferson, Elk, Mckean, Warren, Forest, Clarion, Butler, Beaver, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Crawford, Erie.

Maryland Counties Include - Garrett, Allegany

Winter Weather Watches Have been Issued By for the Following areas.

These areas have the highest chance of seeing some accumulating snow, sleet and freezing rain. This actually is a typical storm system for this time of year. Rain for the coast, Snow interior. These watches go into effect for the following times. There is also a chance that all areas could see a brief changeover to snow as the storm starts to pull out. This storm will be monitored closely. There is another storm coming up behind it as well. Which definitely bears monitoring as well.

West Virginia Counties- Tuesday 8PM – Thursday 1am

Maryland Counties- Tuesday 10pm-Thursday 3AM

Ohio Counties- Tuesday 10pm-Thursday 1PM

Pennsylvania Counties-  Tuesday 11PM-Thursday 4AM

New York Counties- Wednesday 12:00AM -Thursday 12:00PM

Vermont Counties – Wednesday 1AM -Thursday 2PM

New Hampshire Counties – Wednesday 1am-Thursday 2PM

Maine Counties- Wednesday 2-PM- Thursday PM

New Advisory Criteria:

Winter Weather Watch- winter weather is possible within the next 72 hours. amounting to either .25″ of ice or inch or more of snow. Travel problems are possible, as well as school delays or closures.

Winter Weather Warning- Winter Weather is imminent within the next 36 hours, school delays or closings are likely, and travel problems are likely, whether minor or major. Advisory’s,and warnings can be issued by, myself (Dante’) Jason, or Eric, or Matthew. – See more at:
